Frequently Asked Questions

Is this calculator estimate a final price?

No. The calculator provides a realistic estimate based on selected
requirements. A final price is confirmed after reviewing scope,
timelines and technical needs.

Why does my estimate show setup and ongoing costs separately?

This helps you understand one-time website development costs
versus recurring running and maintenance expenses.

What is a domain and why do I need one?

A domain is your website’s address (for example, yourbusiness.com). It makes your business discoverable and credible online. Domain cost is an annual fee and is part of the website hosting and infrastructure cost included in most packages.

What is web hosting and why do I need hosting?

Hosting is the server space where your website files live. Without hosting your site can’t be accessed on the internet. Hosting cost varies by tier (basic shared hosting vs premium managed servers) and is a regular annual charge included in website pricing packages and the website cost calculator.

What is SSL and why is it important?

An SSL certificate secures data between the visitor’s browser and your website (shows as https:// and a padlock). SSL is essential for trust, better search rankings and safe payments. SSL cost is a small annual infrastructure fee and is included in our Year-1 and Year-2 estimates.

What are business email inboxes and how much do they cost?

Business email inboxes (e.g., name@yourbusiness.com) give credibility and integrate with your domain. We offer server inboxes (about ₹1,800/yr) and G Suite/Google Workspace (≈ ₹4,000/yr). You can choose number and type in the website cost estimator.

What does “development only” vs “full solution” mean in the calculator?

“Development only” shows purely development fees (design, coding, deployment). “Full solution” adds infrastructure (domain, hosting, SSL, email) and gives Year-1 and Year-2 totals. Use the website cost estimator to toggle between these views.

How long does it take to build a website?

Typical timelines: basic brochure site — 3-7 days, standard business site — 1–2 weeks, premium or e-commerce — 4–8 weeks, depending on content and revisions. Faster timelines can affect cost; timelines are included in our project quotes.

Why do I need daily backups and monitoring?

Backups and uptime monitoring protect your business from data loss, hacks and downtime. They are included in our hosting/managed infra plans and shown in the website maintenance cost line so you see the true cost of keeping your site running.

Can I change hosting or email plans later? Will that increase cost?

Yes — you can upgrade hosting, add emails or switch to G Suite later. Upgrades change infrastructure cost and therefore the Year-2 maintenance estimate. We design sites to migrate safely and provide upgrade quotes in the website cost estimator.

Are there any hidden fees or recurring charges?

No hidden fees. We itemize recurring costs (domain, hosting, SSL, email) and maintenance (15%). Optional add-ons like extra email boxes, premium plugins, G Suite, or dedicated servers are clearly listed so you can choose what to include in your website pricing.

How do you calculate maintenance cost?

Maintenance is calculated as 15% of infrastructure renewals (domain, hosting, SSL, emails and similar services). It covers patching, backups, monitoring and small updates. Major feature changes are scoped and billed separately.

Does a website help with Google visibility and leads?

Yes — a well-built website improves Google visibility, serves as the authoritative source for your business and works with digital ads to generate leads. We include basic technical SEO and schema to improve discoverability; advanced SEO is scoped separately and quoted in our website pricing packages.

How is e-commerce pricing different from a brochure website?

E-commerce sites require more development hours, inventory setup, payment gateway integration and possibly higher hosting resources. Expect higher development costs and infra (Year-1) compared to a brochure site; use the “e-commerce” preset in our website cost calculator for a closer estimate.

What payment terms and refund policy do you follow?

Typical payment structure: 50% upfront to start development, 40% on delivery, 10% after go-live. Refunds depend on project stage and contract terms. We discuss terms during the discovery call and include payment details in the formal quote.

Do you sign NDAs and protect business data?

Yes. We sign mutual Non-Disclosure Agreements before starting work and treat client data as confidential. Security practices (backups, limited access, SSL) are part of our infrastructure and ongoing maintenance.

I’m new to this — how do I get started?

Start with the website cost estimator to compare fixed packages vs hourly estimates. Then request a fixed quote or book a free discovery call. We’ll review your needs, confirm timelines and provide a formal proposal that lists Year-1 and Year-2 costs.
